The State Lottery announced someone had purchased a winning Powerball ticket on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at the Home Market at 165 Belgrade Ave., in Roslindale.

Wednesday was a big day for the lottery in Massachusetts. Along with the million-dollar ticket, someone purchased a $100,000 ticket at The Country Store in West Springfield.

There were also nearly 20 tickets worth six figures sold that day across the state.
